Abstract:

Corruption affects the state development and structure, the standard of living and social protection of citizens, as well as the entire economy as a whole and is an urgent problem of modern society. The article presents an analysis of the category of corruption, approaches to its definition and forms of manifestation. The causes of corruption and its conse-quences are systematized. Economic and social consequences of corruption are classified. Threats to economic security of business activity are revealed. The consequences for the economy as a whole are systematized.
